  Bring your trowels, rakes, leaf rakes, shovels and pruning shears and meet your neighbors at the Park! And while we're there, we'll celebrate the crocus, daffodils and tulips planted at Robbins Farm Park last fall!
  
  
  
• Kite Flying Day -------Saturday, May 14th, 1:30 pm to 3:30pm CANCELLED
  Don McCasland of "Kites Over New England" will be on hand to hold a kite-making workshop and help out.
  
  
• Independence Day Celebration------- Monday, July 4th
  On the 4th of July, Arlington will again celebrate America’s birthday in style at Robbins Farm Park. The evening, sponsored by NSTAR, will begin at 7:00 PM with a live performance
  by the John Penny Band, followed by a large screen simulcast of the Boston Pops Concert and Fireworks display. This annual event is a collaborative effort by the Town of Arlington
  and the Friends of Robbins Farm Park. Refreshments (including hot dogs, drinks and snacks) and glow sticks will be on hand for purchase. No alcoholic beverages please!

• Friday Night Flicks -------Friday, July 29th
  Always a favorite for the whole family, our free Friday night movies will return again this summer. Tonight's feature is the 1993 comedy "The Sandlot". Scotty Smalls (Tom Guiry), newcomer to the neighborhood, narrates the hilarious adventure of how he got himself and his new baseball playing buddies into the biggest pickle ever.
  
  
• Shakespeare in the Park ------- Sunday, August 7 at 5 pm
  Robbins Farm Park will be the location of the 5th annual Shakespeare in the Park performance.
  The theater company, New England Shakespeare, will perform The Taming of the Shrew. The performance, geared for all ages, is cosponsored by the Arlington Center for the Arts, the Friends of Robbins Farm Park, and Friends of Menotomy Rocks Park.
  
  Audience members are encouraged to come early, bring chairs or blankets and a picnic. The sponsors will sell Shakespeare tote bags, desserts, bottled water, and lemonade.
  
  Friday Night Flicks -------Friday, August 19th, 8 pm
  Tonight's feature: "Because of Winn-Dixie". A 10-year old girl named Opal finds a lovable stray mutt in a supermarket produce section, her preacher father lets her keep it, and "everything good that happened that summer happened because of Winn-Dixie."
  
  
• Annual Field Day -------Saturday, September 10th, 2pm to 4:30pm, (Rain date, Sept. 11th)
  Come to our annual Field Day which will include activities and fun for the whole family.
  

• Arlington Town Day ------- Saturday, September 17th, Saturday, September 24th
  Come by the FORFP booth and say hello!
  
  
• Red Sox Baseball-------Friday, September 30th, 6:30pm. (Game time 7:05pm) Back by popular demand, join us for baseball under the stars as we again present a live TV broadcast of the Red Sox - Yankees game on the big screen. FORFP will be selling hot dogs and light refreshments, so bring your appetite with your Red Sox pride. No alcohol, please.

• Family Portrait Day -------Sunday, October 30th, 9:00am to 4:00pm (No Rain Date)
  The Friends of Robbins Farm Park and talented photographer and Arlington resident Robert Forté will be taking portraits in the park - families, couples or individuals welcome! You can see his work on his web site at RKForté Photography .
